While a lifelong passion for art and design led Shanna Walker to acquire a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Manitoba, it wasn’t until taking a residential design program through Red River College that she realized how she wanted to apply that enthusiasm. So, she continued her education in the college’s Architectural Technology program.

For Shanna, architectural technology allows her to explore detail-oriented work and creative problem-solving with software and technology when responding to different design challenges. Since joining ft3 in 2022, Shanna has worked primarily in the firm’s Health and Wellness area, assisting with Dauphin RHC Clinical transformation, Portage District Hospital new build and Boundary Trail Health Center expansion.

Shanna enjoys asking questions and expanding her knowledge on the architectural technology field. She looks forward to using new and innovative processes and discovering how the incorporation of artificial intelligence will help streamline and automate those processes.
